Yunnan "Shangbaka" (上坝卡) Green Pu-Erh Tea Cake
Name: Yunnan "Shangbaka" Green Pu-Erh Tea Cake (上坝卡)
Contents: Green Pu-Erh Tea (~200gm)
MFR Date: 02/2025 (Tea made in 2024/10)
Origin of China (Yunnan Province)
This Pu-erh tea was produced in Shangbaka Village, Zhenkang County, Lincang, Yunnan. This tea region is located near Bingdao (冰島), and because of its geographical proximity and similar tea tree varietals, it is often compared with Bingdao Old Village. Shangbaka raw Pu-erh often carries honeyed floral fragrance with a hint of fruitiness, but it is more straightforward and slightly heavier compared to Bingdao. Sweet on entry with a fine texture, but with stronger astringency than Bingdao. Noticeable returning sweetness and salivation, though less layered than Bingdao; the price, however, is much friendlier.
